A handy 1-hour introductory session on how to improve your own self-care if you are a caregiver for someone

This is an introductory session for those who are considering taking the Powerful Tools for Caregivers workshop series. It will take place on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm EST on Zoom.

Caring for a family member or friend with a health condition can be physically, emotionally, and financially challenging. This free, six-week workshop is an educational program designed to help family caregivers take care of themselves while caring for a relative or friend, whether they are helping a parent, spouse, friend, someone who lives at home, in a nursing home, or across the country.

For the full Powerful Tools for Caregivers 6-week workshop, class participants would be given The Caregiver Helpbook to accompany the class and provide additional caregiver resources.

This class will give you an introduction to:

  • Reduce stress
  • Improve self-confidence
  • Manage time, set goals, and solve problems
  • Better communicate your feelings, needs, and concerns
  • Make tough decisions
  • Locate helpful resources
